Jeremy Brasset (GeGe)
I met GeGe when he passed through our house in Malibu going on an RV trip with a surf-themed clothing company based in California. He introduced himself as a frenchman and I preferred to speak french to him which was a great pleasure of mine because I don't get to speak much french living in US. Later on he came back to California and stayed with me and Matt. I am struggling sometimes finding things to talk about with surfer guys. So I asked GeGe what he does besides being three times Surf Champion of France and Martinique traveling the world through surfing. He said he writes poetry. I didn't expect much but when he started reading his poems to me I was absolutely stunned. You know a true poet when you meet one. I have to say that I'm honored to have him as a friend and looking forward spending more time together talking about the world whenever it happens in France, US, on a remote island or anywhere else in the world.
We quickly became friends seeing the world in a similar way. He is a poet and a gypsy. Born in Martinique in the West Indies part of the French Caribbean. GeGe's family is also in France. This side of the family is one of the oldest surf families in France. He spends his time traveling the world seeking the understanding of the vibrations. He calls it Zionoiz. It is the frequency that Mother Earth and each one of us omit. Some of us can connect to the Zionoiz and some of can not. GeGe has over 20 brothers and sisters. I was able to meet many of them while I was living in Basque Country with GeGe.
